Sneaky Pete Doesn’t Live Here

Don’t be tempted to employ duplicitous internet marketing tactics, because in the long term, you will regret doing so. Can You Identify Sneaky Pete?

Perhaps you have already received one or two promotional sales emails bearing a subject line like, “you’ve earned $350”.

The IM is blatantly attempting to trick recipients into opening the email under the impression that they’ve made some money — we can take it as read, this will be a tactic targeted at newbie marketers — and when opened, and you start to read on, the message continues , “would you like to receive multiple emails with this subject line?”.

The sender is pressing your, and my, buttons… DON’T be an internet marketing sneak!

In the short-term, perhaps such techniques bring in a few bucks, I wouldn’t know because I don’t use shifty methods to do business. However, I do know that in the long term, you will not build a strong and profitable business if it’s founded on trickery and lies.

In the main, other than promoting one’s own product, the big money to be made online is by affiliate email-outs, but however many customers and prospects you’ve accumulated, they will not be responsive to your efforts if you’ve appeared to be sneaky and a liar.

Don’t allow any of this to spoil your enjoyment of the adventure.
