Hi Durano,

Thanks for your continued concern and support.

As I mention above, I've learned a lot from this experience, and one of the things learned is to wait before responding, because our first reaction often isn't the best one. [This may sound obvious, but every now and again we all need a reminder of even the most 'in your face' truths.]

This is partly because of Frank's extreme reaction, but mainly because my own initial reaction was not to publicly acknowledge what had happened, and apologise. I just wanted to sweep it all under the carpet and hide!

Durano, you've always come across as very even-tempered and level-headed. Unfortunately, these qualities aren't built-in features of my character -- I tend to fly off the handle and respond via knee-jerk reactions! Thankfully, the nature of internet comms, gives us the opportunity to pause and consider options before taking action.

It's curious how I listened to the Stephen Pierce recording (please refer to my reply to Carol's comment above) precisely when I needed to have its wisdom fresh in my mind! ;-)

Hi Layne,

I'm glad this is all over and you are no longer distraught with the labels that were thrown your way as a result of an honest mistake.

My initial reactions, if ever, are not to engage in labeling nor to rant at injustice. This assumes that the other party acted with malice. It's dangerous making such assumptions.

Anyway, as it turns out, Frank may have been a victim once too many and may have a developed a tendency to be quick on the draw; but his sense of fairness and understanding still prevailed. :-) --Durano, done!

Hello lovely Jen,

Boy am I happy to hear from you! I feared the worst -- that you, too, may think this act was deliberate, after your own recent experience of stolen content.

Bless you, Jen, for your support, and lots of love coming at you for your friendship. :-)

P.S. I'm glad to hear you're managing while Jeff is away. It must be strange for you though, because you two work together so closely. I can just picture Junior on the phone trying to get his little head around where his dad's gone!

Oh Layne! I'm so glad you're out of trouble. Any guy would somehow gauge if it's deliberate or not. You know everything seems to be so available around the net and it's not easy to detect which ones are free to use or not. Anyway, anyone can easily forgive a rebel like you. You are such a kind hearted one to dedicate two posts on this issue.:-)

I hope you're doing great now with this issue out of your shoulder. ;-)

Off topic: I'm sailing through the absence of dear hubby pretty well, juggling everything, from business and otherwise. I so feel like a single mom. lol! We're missing the man of the house, that's for sure. I'm blogging away in between the things I do because I'm going on haitus towards the end of the month. Take care my dear friend. :-)

Hi Marcus,

Thanks for the tip, I'll check them out, as I don't think a buck an image will break the bank!

From now on, when all I need is just a pretty little something to brighten up a post, Photoshop and I will create it! :-)

I purchase 99% of my images from istockphoto.com for just a buck. Never had a single issue with it, and they're of professional quality.

Take care, RR!

Hey Carol,

You know it's a funny thing, but just the day before it happened, I was listening to a Stephen Pierce recording about precisely what I mention above -- waiting before responding, because your first reaction often isn't the best one.

So that's another reason to think maybe the incident was greater than the sum of its parts, and that it had a purpose to serve. ;-)
