Thought it was a bit nippy this morning, and got a BIG surprise when I peeked out of the window.

Spring, my arse! But ain’t it pretty? This is something I love about internet marketing and working from home, the fact you can take a break and go have a snowball fight if you feel like it!

Ooh… sometimes I miss those four seasons and snow in April. It’s time I get back to Germany for a bit (2-3 months maybe.)

And yes definitely, working from home is a tremendous gift we have!

    Hi Reward Rebel,

Hey, that looks very nice and it’s calming to the spirit too. Right in your own backyard eh? That’s cool, literally. :-)

One of the blessings of working from home. I wish I could do that soon! :-)–Durano, done!

    Hi Marcus,

I imagine when I move to Crete, I’ll hanker for more change in the seasons. I’d prefer it that way around though, than have to travel abroad for guaranteed sunshine! :-)

  4. 4Avatars RewardRebel on April 6, 2008 11:37 am

    Hey Durano,

Yep, it is cool. I’ve always insisted on having a garden in London. Just being able to take your morning coffee and wander outside to drink it, is wonderful, especially here, as with all the trees and shrubs, it doesn’t feel like the city.

The garden is home to loads of bird life, and we enjoy beautiful bird song in the morning and evening.

In view of the house being slap bang in the middle of North London, we have quite a lot of wildlife… foxes, squirrels, frogs, robins, magpies, blackbirds, sparrows, we even have a family of wrens! They are soooo tiny… I’ll have to try and get photos. :-)

I’m so glad I took the photos of the snow this morning, because there is no evidence whatsoever now that it was ever here! :-(

  5. 4Avatars Zhu on April 6, 2008 8:24 pm

It snowed on Friday here… I know how you feel!

But yesterday I bought a skirt AND wore it today (+10C). There is hope! ;-)

    Hiya Zhu,

There is no way I could cope with the quantities of snow you live with!

  8. 4Avatars RewardRebel on April 6, 2008 9:49 pm

    Thanks, Mrs Mecomber,

It’s particularly lovely cloaked in white, and we’re so fortunate to have the trees around us — sometimes the garden resembles a woodland glade. ;-)

Definitly you are part of a conspiracy to avoid me to comment :P

I was going to say how much would you miss the snow when you be living in Creta but you had to talk about that before me. That’s not polite to your readers. So instead of that, as my mind get blank, that’s what you’ll get now in revenge: a blank comment.

    *** start blank comment ***

    *** end blank comment ***

Hope you’ll learn the lesson :D

I’d cry if I saw this out my window. It’s been in the 60’s the past three days and I’m ready to get working in my garden. Most of my potted plants are outside already. I do like the snow, but when we get a blast of warmth it’s hard to be happy when you see it again.

    Hi Fool,

    “Thanks” and “That’s Great!”

I’m no whizz with Wordpress, but when I think back to how long I’d sit staring at the screen in complete confusion and fear, well, I guess I’ve learned quite a bit!

I’m still struggling with coding, and I constantly refer to this site, which I highly recommend, JT Pratt’s Blogging Mistakes.

    Best of luck! :-)

Heh heh, a troublemaker, eh, Anthony?

My apologies for preempting your comment, I’ve not yet completed my clairvoyancy class. ;-)

  15. 4Avatars RewardRebel on April 7, 2008 7:41 am

    Hi Dennis,

Thanks for the suggestion/reminder. It’s one of those things I’ve meant to get around to, but somehow it keeps being neglected! :-)

  16. 4Avatars RewardRebel on April 7, 2008 7:51 am

    Hi Sharon,

I’d have been in tears too, if it weren’t for the fact that every year I hope my planting will ignore its heritage, and grow to my agenda… meaning I’m well behind with Spring planting (i.e. I haven’t done any)! :-(

  17. 4Avatars Marty on April 7, 2008 10:23 am

No snow here but definitely colder than normal. I like the snow around here at holiday time and than I’m on “Spring Watch” from there. Beautiful photograph. It looks like a painting.

    Hiya Marty,

The snow looks beautiful and I like playing in it, but I don’t like having to deal with the cold or slippery pavements! I’ve been like a little ol’ lady in these kind of conditions, ever since I was about 13! :-(

    Hey DineometerDeb (great name!),
Wanna swap locations? Where are you?

Yep, I’ll sort it out, as soon as I figure out how. :-(

I appreciate the kick up the jacksy!

    Hey Dennis,

I’ve added an option to subscribe to RSS by email via Feedburner. As soon as I’ve gotten to grips with the whole forms thing, I can get more sophisticated. OK?

I owe you one. Just in the wee while since I whacked up the email option to RSS, another four subscribers have signed up. That’s quite something as a percentage!

    Cheers amigo.

You’re right, it is a very pretty sight. Right where I am, it’s always 82 degrees above, and it’s summertime here, which means it’s gonna get even hotter. The coldest I’ve experienced so far was a 72.

    Hi Wilhelmina,

Aw, I’m so jealous! The snow vanished the same day as it arrived, but it’s still v-e-r-y cold here.

  28. 4Avatars RewardRebel on April 8, 2008 2:23 pm

    Watcha Dennis,

Thanks so much for persevering, cos it’s led to me starting to familiarise myself with the whole Feedburner site and what’s on offer.

  29. 4Avatars Jen on April 10, 2008 8:31 am

Oh Layne, I’m so jealous! I have always dreamed of seeing snow and having a snowball fight. We only have summer and rainy season here. And you say it’s cold there! Scorching heat is what we have here. Picture this–just finished your bath and sweat starts trickling down your face. It’s that bad! Global warming has gone really bad. :-(

I love your photo! Just like one of those postcards. ;-)

    Hey Jen,

When global warming smacks you in the face at close quarters, it really brings home how scarey, it is, huh? How the George Bushes of the world can deny it’s happening is beyond belief. But we have to keep hoping we can fix it. :-)

    Hello Gerri,

Glad you like the photo — I do enjoy having a garden, and couldn’t live in the city without one.

I’ve not been working from home full-time for very long, and I have to admit I miss the social aspect of the office. :-(

I was very fortunate to have enjoyed six years working in a dynamic voluntary sector organisation, with exceptional colleagues.

You can’t have it all, eh?
