Entrecard Synchronised Ad Displays
When dropping Entrecards, I notice that quite a few sites practise synchronised mutual advertising (er, something like that anyway), i.e. Site A displays Site B’s Entrecard, at the same time that Site B is displaying Site A’s card.
Am I missing something here? Depending on which site of the two, you land on first, the other site misses out on your click thru from their ad, because why would you click thru to a site that you’ve just surfed in from?
Any clarification gratefully received.

I am thinking pure coincidence since like you said…someone loses a click. Although if you are on my widget, I click on you from my dashboard anyway.

I don’t think they do it on purpose. Each time you get an ad accepted on someone’s site it runs according to that site’s schedule. Some blogs (like Sense To Save) have ads on a TON of other blogs so that is why you might see that happening.
If you buy three ads today they may not all display at the same time on all blogs…or they might, just according to if it takes 2 days to show on blog one but only 1 on blog two but they overlap.

Sorry, but I also have another experience that’s quite annoying while do the chain-dropping.
I have end up with some blogs that is actually displayed different entrecard image, but the card is pointed at one account so when I click it the entrecard message said 1 per day, this is really wasting my precious time.

I also noticed this and I have absolutely no idea why they do that. I found quite few sites like that.
Also, some sites display their own cards… so, you click on a card and you end up on the same site… weird.

Rebel, were those popular sites?
From what I’ve seen, when sites don’t get lots of advertising, owners would advertise on their own network of sites or give credits to their friends to advertise on them. That’s why you might see synchronized advertising.
To combat the repeat ads from chain dropping, try sitehoppin.com. But some of those sites might not be active so you won’t get reciprocal drops.

I’ve been dropping cards and advertising via Entrecard for some time now, and my question was purely out of curiosity.
Thanks to you all for adding some clarification;-D
