Entrecard, A Blogger’s Best Friend
If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!
Hats off to Entrecard! Graham Langdon and his team have consistently refused to sit on their laurels, always taking on board feedback from service users, and continually implementing improvements. Entrecard is evolving into a major blogging network and online community.

A few days ago, came the announcement of a new partnership between Entrecard and SezWho, the popular and well-established blog commenting platform.
Reward Rebel enjoys a pretty satisfactory level of commenting, and yet there’s already been a noticeable increase since SezWho became part of the Entrecard equation.
Evidently bloggers value comments - and Entrecard Credits - very highly! And so, as part of Reward Rebel’s forthcoming first birthday celebrations, I’m going to backtrack over the comments here, and rate as many as time permits.
In fact, talk about excellent timing! I had already started to showcase my favourite posts to Entrecard visitors, and you’re invited to participate in Reward Rebel’s birthday bash by taking a moment while you’re here to rate any post or comment that you’ve enjoyed. After all, what goes around, comes around, and your turn will come!
Since its inception, Entrecard has helped launch many blogs, and has been a good friend to Reward Rebel. Bringing SezWho onboard will undoubtedly provide the icing on the cake.
Happy blogging, and enjoy your internet marketing adventure.

Blogspot Comments Settings
I’ve encountered quite a number of Blogspot sites on which the Comments settings remain as per the default, and this means that many people are unable to contribute to the topic under discussion.
The default setting for Comments on Blogspot sites is for ‘Users with a Google account’ (Blogger ID), however, this is frustrating for those of us who do not have, or do not like to use, a Blogger ID.
If you’re uncertain how your blog’s comments are set up, I’d like to recommend that you follow this exercise.
Sign into your Blogspot dashboard, and select Settings tab, then select Comments. For the second option down, ‘Who can comment’, you need to select the first option – ‘anyone’.

SAVE your updated settings, and you’re away — it’s that simple.
Hopefully, you should now receive more comments to your blog than previously, so be prepared to respond to them all!
Of course, if you have a Blogspot site and don’t want any ol’ Tom, Dick or Harry commenting on your posts, you can completely ignore this.
Happy blogging.

Comments Curiosity
I’ve encountered quite a few blogs that enthusiastically invite readers to comment, and when a readers does, their contribution isn’t acknowledged or responded to.
On one occasion, the blog author actually asked his readers what it was he was doing wrong, and why people weren’t leaving comments on his site!
Witnessing a lively discussion taking place on a website encourages readers to get involved, a blog author who doesn’t engage in the discussion does the opposite, and discourages participation.
I find this lack of communication difficult to comprehend, but that’s probably because I’m a control freak for whom it’s impossible to ignore a comment — I have to have the final word!
Do you treat comments to your own site like you’d treat a real-life discussion? Do you respond? Or perhaps your site receives comments in such high numbers, it’s impossible to respond to each of them?
Do you expect a response when you’re the one commenting?
How often would any of us engage in comments and responses, if we didn’t all need back-links to our own sites?
